Going to the movies and grabbing burgers afterward for your first several dates might’ve been tasty and relaxing … or just plain boring.  If it was the latter and upcoming dates with your partner no longer seem interesting, then don’t fear, because Cupid’s here.  Prove to your sweetheart that you can go the extra mile for him or her by scheduling dance lessons this week.

Dancing is a great date idea because you not only get to shake what your mother gave you, but you also get to be close and personal with your significant other.  If you’re searching for something romantic, try ballroom or Argentine tango.  Not sure what the differences are?  A ballroom tango is a type of dance that you’d see on shows like Dancing with the Stars.  There are certain moves you must learn – from underarm turns to alternating hand holds to dancing apart to side-by-side choreography – and then if you wish, you may enter competitions.  Argentine tango is a social dance and because there aren’t any steps involved, it relies on improvisation.  In short, it means that you and your mate can learn how to dance immediately.

If you’re searching to do something that’s fun and sexy, try salsa.  Although the couples don’t embrace as much as they would if they were tangoing, dancers hold hands most of the time and remain in one spot – often swapping back and forth.  If this appeals to you more than tango, then get ready for all the hip wriggling and spins you’ll face.

If you still aren’t sure which dancing lessons to take and your partner is confused as well, see these dances in action.  Here are videos of ballroom tango, Argentine tango and salsa.  Or you may consider taking beginners class for each of these dances.  When you experience it once, you’ll instantly know which one was meant for you to learn with your mate.

Have you and your special someone taken any dancing lessons lately?  Let us know how it went by commenting below!  And if you want other themed date ideas, contact Cupid here.
