With colder weather ahead and beach season behind us, it’s hard to remain motivated at the gym. In order for you and your honey to stay fit, working out together is key. Experts say that having a work out partner can help improve your results. Better yet, having a set day and time to exercise helps too.
Whether you’re on an indoor track or embracing the crisp air by fast walking outside, get your cardio in by doing it together. Exercising with your significant other allows you to spend quality time doing something healthy, even among all of the holiday madness. You can begin by strolling along while chatting, then increase your speed by competing with one another during a run.
Another idea is to test your flexibility at a Bikram Yoga class – 2 sets of 26 poses done for 90 minutes in a room heated to 105 degrees. The warmth will help with flexibility, and winter is the best time to start. Staying in the room, known as the “torture chamber,” is a challenge in itself, but by going in with your partner, you’ll be motivated to last the full time. Don’t forget to bring along a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated.
